I am french, i understand the lyrics, and really, really, this version far below the original one. French is a language for speaking during hours, about weather, politics, meaning of life, your last girl, etc... But it really sounds awful when sung. Especially on a rythme basically made for english language. If french have to be sung, it is very slow (like in operas, see Lakm
é), or very fast (due to the total lack of accentuation, the music give it). French is not romantic when it's ridiculous.

This an amazing version. French it's such a poetical language, it goes perfect here, mixed with the original lyrics. I really enjoy the sound of this particular version, so Parisienne! I can imagine myself walking alonside the Seinne all over again.
