Absolutely! If you have anything solid (!) that you think might prove this music existed before 1935 please let know. Yepes claimed authorship in a radio interview not long before his demise, and I believe he was no liar.

I have been looking into this question for a few years and I know of websites where supposedly 'strong' evidence is presented (against it being by Yepes). Some say it was based on a piece called melodia by F. Sor but I find nothing conclusive. Yepes left the door open by not claiming it in the beginning but he made this piece in every sense of the term.
Could you perhaps name the hymn you speak of? I'd be interested in doing research on it...
