Freedom for some English meens the good old days when they could bully other countries (colonies) and back here play the French against the Germans. But Im sure the day will come (soon) when even they will realise just how Europan they are.

You are not an EU citizen for the simple reason that Norway is not part of the EU. The citizens of a state become EU citizens once their country has joined the EU. I disagree with the points you mentioned above. 1. Europe gives more power to the people as regions become more important at the expense of the member states. The regions have much more say in their policies (which directly affect their citizens) than 10 year ago and this thanks to the EU. 2. Point taken

How can you assert such a thing knowing (which I hope) all the disparities in social and economic systems in the different member states? Trade unions are still very strong in Belgium and Poland, while they have much less power in the UK, for example. So where is the tendency imposed by the EU?

Yet one notes the utter corruption whereby the EU Constitution is rejected by ALL who have a free vote (a DEMOCRATIC Decision) so it is repackaged and rebranded with greatewr obfuscation and called The Lisbon Treaty and in the knowledge it would be rejected by the electorate they are denied a Referendum - DICTATORSHIP!

47.9% Voted against Mugabe in Zimbabwe's elections.
The EU described it as 'travesty of democracy' & supported MDC decision not to stand in second round.
53.4% Vote against Lisbon Treaty in The Constitution/Lisbon Referendum. The EU implied the Irish were stupid & didn't understand & said it 'regrets' and would like them to run again a second time.
At least Mugabe was elected by democratic means though his mandate has run out - The Commission was NEVER elected & MEPs have no say!

The fact that there was open honest survey like this by the EU, puts the idea that the EU is completely undemocratic to the side. Its also worth remembering the EU is the only body of its kind that has directly elected representatives (MEPS)

It really never crosses her mind that people much actually not *want* a European federal state. All we need is education to understand better. And when the voters say no, it's just one more round of education and then maybe a poll and so the no can be neglected. She truly doesn't have any democratic ideal.
